Unworthy Love

Does it hurt me?

The death process of love

Yes betrayal always hurts

But truthfully I always knew

You’d do this to me.

If only I had bet a dollar.

At first I was devastated

Struck in the early morning

With a rage and the mourning

Of my dying love for you

But the coughing breath rattles

Without rhythm or melody

To spit out a song of truth

My love for you was always

Half-baked.
