Walk on a Friday

Along the cove, along the cove

How I strive to be above

Above the monkey mind that drives

In this modern chaos thrives.

Beach, sand the extent of the land

Jostling the throng, millions with plans

Strangers, unknown silent cares

Shoulder slumping more than can bear.

Strangers, people living a life discreet

We both just happen to be in this street.

But our eyes did not even meet.

The moment in time so fleet.
