I look at my friend The relationship to mend We have grown separate Though a shame should it end A friendship always temperate Yet old bonds evaporate And I’ve no desire to debate The vileness of societies norms Or perspectives on the coming storms Nonetheless waning love is sad still By memories the heart is slowly warms While parting wishing nothing ill To this compatriot of weak will.
