I saw an act violence I was a digital bystander I saw an act of violence And wondered if I was complicit. Sharing is caring, a saying we’re taught. In the age of social media a second thought. Videos and images can capture what is. And humanity is as pure or evil as can be. So when a video atrocious says come see. Yes it rouses curiosity. But now you’ve seen it and you know it’s real. And you see vile, ugly side of human nature. For only humans could be so cruel. I saw an act of violence because I’m a fool. Absorbed in the internet’s quagmire Yet these villains people admire The prophet a bloody mouthed liar. Seeks to pull back the veneer Sneaks to lull the crowd with a sneer. Who can know if the end is near Humanities destiny is never clear.
