I swept the cigarette butts off the brick patio

Beach sand , seagull feathers, and beach bums

Old men who drank too many rums.

Gamble away your wealth while you have it

Gamble on your health, it is draining

Rough shod feet

Calluses by sand and concrete

The sun watches, revolves yet

To another repeat of the beat of defeat.
