Wanderer

I seek what?

In a desert, bright

Still shadowed eyes

Can’t tell what’s right

Or scan blue skies

Flooding by light

Is the desert not

Illuminated?

Stagger steps inch forward

Each grain of sand

A bit

Grab a handful of

Kilobits

Shifting through data

I realize I need more

I tried to build a tower

On quicksand

I painted it ivory

Thought it satisfactory

In time I’ve been buried

In the sand

More lost than ever
